Hi All,

I just picked up a very underused 2008 GXP (4300 miles). Car is immaculate...just one tiny issue. The previous owner debadged the rear.

This is us today:

I'm wondering if someone would be able to post some dimensions for me.

First: side to side:

Then up and down:

If there are any better reference points, please feel free to offer alternatives.

Any assistance is appreciated!

Thanks!

orange is the best color ;)

Also, if you aren’t in a demographic that’s concerned with being stalked, you can save yourself a hassle on the plate. License plates and VINs are publicly available info.

Beautiful car!

Absolutely agree.

Sorry...force of habit.
Also... can you lean a little to the left? I'm trying to watch TV through your window and you're blocking my view.

Beautiful car!
Thanks! It's like a a 15 year old new car!

Alternative. Leave it. It looks so clean. I debadged the side gm chicklets and in rear replaced the arrow badge with a black one and removed Pontiac. Solstice GXP looks right to me. But, to each his own. Although, you might want it “original” I do respect as well. Very beautiful. Enjoy the breeze.

Now to find the emblems!
Shouldn't be a problem... I'm sure someone is debadging a Solstice as we speak!

@Greatgab : Would you be able to measure the height and width of the GXP logo on the decklid?

There are several part numbers for GXP emblems. (Solstice's GXP emblem is 15247731) Doing a cross reference, it seems to be a Solstice-only part.
I'm wondering if there is a difference in the other emblems (G8, Grand Prix, Bonneville, etc.)

I’ve noticed a few other sportier type vehicles that have been de-badged as I’m driving around, not necessarily just Solstices. In some cases both front and back. Is there some weird trend going on that I am missing out on? Why do people do that?

Street racers and that ilk remove them as it makes it harder to identify the car at a glance. Also, some figure if you don't already know what it is, you don't need to know. I have a couple of "friends" who were into the street takeover scene until one of them had his brand new Supra taken by the police. He is still trying to get it back through the courts.

Wondering if someone would be willing to get the dimensions of their rear GXP emblem.
I found a few new (old) emblems online, but I'm not sure if they're the correct size. I haven't found any that are the Solstice-specific part number (15247731)
Just measured with calipers:

3.23" (82mm) long
0.59" (14.9mm) tall
