I've had my hood unceremoniously slam down a couple of times, thank goodness without any of my body parts in the way. The hood struts, no mater how good they are will not keep the hood from shutting when hit by a strong wind gust, ect. I designed and built a prototype HOOD PROP. I've had it installed for a couple of weeks now and it works great. There is no drilling required since it uses two of the existing bolts. It consists of 3 parts made from 1/8 thick steel, so it's very sturdy. If I can get a few committed orders I will have some made up to sell. I'm not sure on the price but thinking around $75. I would appreciate your feedback.
