When did GM begin adding the torque arm to 2.4 & 2.0 automatics?

Yes I've searched and the only thing I've found so far is that GM started adding the torque arm to 2.4 manuals around September of 06. Plus the torque arm was standard equipment on manual 2.0 turbo Kappa models.

I believe I've read on the forum that the torque arm was eventually added to 2.4 and 2.0 turbo automatics, but I haven't had any luck finding a thread. TIA

I have read here that the torque arm was manual only, and never installed on an automatic, but nothing I recall reading was from any "official" source.

It was never added to the automatics.
