Manual Boost Controller Pics...

Alrighty, I'm having a bit of confusion with Dejon's Manual Boost Controller, well, the installation of it that is. The diagram he gives differs from the picture of it he has installed on his site. I was just curious if someone could PM me some pics of theirs and mark on the pic where the hoses coming off the Boost Controller go to.

The way I have mine, the side of the MBC with the white fitting is going to the tan cap of my wastegate. And the hose coming off the bottom of the MBC with the brass fitting is going to the left intercooler pipe connection. Is this right?

Some help would be great! Thanks! - Jay

The principle is very simple. Boost pressure goes into the MBC bottom brass fitting opposite the thumb screw. You can get boost pressure from the hose at the IAT2 sensor or the fitting on the turbo's compressor cover - hose that goes to the factory boost control solenoid. The brass fitting on the MBC's side supplies regulated pressure to the Waste Gate Actuator.
Turn the black knob CW (tighten) to lower output pressure which weakens the wastegate actuator's pull and closes the wastegate, resulting in higher boost.

Pic of MBC installed

Heres a pic of our MBC installed on the factory turbo. Although this works, it will spool the turbo up much faster than the stock setup and you may need t modify the air load tables to match. For best driveability, I recommend a performance tune, but if you want max boost (like for drag racing, the MBC works well as long as you stay within the limp mode confines)

Thank you very much sir. Works like a charm. I grabbed pressure from the compressor btw. I am looking at your 16 and 20 g kits also. I still need to get in touch with Vince about tuning on these turbos. Hopefully we will call me back today.

What am I missing here? You have a problem, do you post on a public group about it or do you go straight to the seller who will know the answer? Hmmm.......

Hang on, what specifically are you talking about? And if things are resolved on an open forum other people can find it and not bother the dealer with a million questions. Isn't that the point of these forums? Public information?
