Most of the reproduction parts I have read of are 3D prints of NLA small but very important bits and pieces such as the cup holder arm or the tulip flap hardware. There is also a chap in Mexico who makes fiber glass reproductions of the tulip flaps, some people who bought from him were very satisfied. In terms of rebuild parts, well... For the engine it doesn't seem to be a problem given how ubiquitous the Ecotec family is. For the gearbox and differential I've always read it can be a pain and people end up getting salvage yard units. Weatherstripping and rubber seals are also rare to come by NOS and as far as I know nobody has been reproducing them.

Perhaps a business opportunity for you? I believe our community would welcome any new supporters with wide open arms.

 

Suspension parts, steering parts, radiator hoses. Shifter rebuild kits. Etc. Gas tanks. Gas tank sending units. Things that are not available or what is available is low quality.

As a former customer of Rodney when I had a Fiero GT for 20 years, I can attest to the quality of his parts and service. We are at a point with the Solstice/Sky where some vendors are cutting back and OEM stuff is getting hard to find and has been largely discontinued. I think that moving into the Kappa world might be a good sideline for him as I think there will be quite a few people like me that went through all this before with the Fieros.

Rodney, IIRC I bought a prototype short shifter from you before you had finalized and started selling them. Worked great for me!

 

Yes and no. So if you’re looking to buy the car, it depends on what breaks. If you’re looking to make parts, there is market need. Idk if it’s enough to be worth producing products, but there is a need.
