I think people will look back at posts like this and be gobsmacked that a great low-mileage example of these cars could be had for so little. Anyone else remember $75,000 Countaches and $80,000 mid-2000s Ford GTs?

I 100% agree, and if I had the money and Space, I would snap up more. We purchased a 14K mile Mean 3 years ago for 15K. Auto, has everything except the Auto Mirror, Bluetooth etc. I understand that is hard to install after the fact. BUT the car now has 28,000 miles, has been uber reliable and it a pretty fast little car, has the GM tune. I own a 2005 Modified Viper. My wife was following me to my service appointment on some twisty roads; thought I would get a little bit of fun in and go through the twisties a bit quicker than I normally do. I look into the rear view mirror and she is right on my tail. Haha.

Lost my job in January, sold my everyday driver and selling some of my collection, but would absolutely drive one of these in good weather as an "everyday" vehicle, we have grown to really love her car.

Got cancer last year. I asked her "So if this is terminal, what would you do with all our (my) cars ? Before I got the word cars out of my mouth, she said ; "Sell them. Except for my Solstice" These are amazing little vehicles in my book that should be worth a lot more but times are tough right now. Just sold an absolutely BEAUTIFUL Redline Red SSR for 4K less than I paid for it and had to send all the ModsI did to the vehicle along with it.
