Where do folks think Street Editions fall within the Solstice hierarchy, and where do you think they are headed? Technically they were a separate model and less quantities were produced. Did all Street Editions come standard w/the ZOK suspension?

I have tried to find final SE/ZOK final production numbers but couldn't find anything.

Was just reading the Wiki Solstice page and was surprise it says nothing about the Street Edition/ZOK model/options.

And why didn't Saturn offer a SKY equivalent (or did they)?

Street Edition Equipment / Brazen Orange w Ebony leather seating and orange stitching on seats ,steering wheel, and shifter boot /Split Spoke Wheels/Black GXP grill/Black Headlights/Black Body Stripe/ZOK suspension/Sport Pedals/ LSD/Premium Package/Preferred Package/Convenience Package/Carpeted Floor Mats/ Air Conditioning /Monsoon Audio / Options are choice of transmission and rear spoiler They were supposed to come with a unique VIN but from all I have read this was never verified in the final production My guess is that if someone has one for sale he can use the facts that these car were limited and ask a premium price but as we all know the bottom line is what someone will pay for a car at the time of sale

They made a whack of 'special' editions which normally consisted of a special colour, maybe (as in the case of the street edition) a different wheel and maybe a little badge. It was just a method of trying to sell more cars and none of them were worth any more than stock cars unless you fall in love with the colour or are one of the 'limited edition' nuts.

They did a bunch with the Sky as well. The usual modus operandi was to announce a limited edition (often 500 cars) and then not actually produce them unless people ordered them. That resulted in a supposed run of 500 being much lower - 100 or two because only that many customers wanted them.

The brochure mentions ZOK "inspired" suspension. No idea what that means.

Edit to reflect the only mention of suspension in the brochure. And see this thread where we talked about this in more detail.

As per my post they list the car as coming with the ZOK suspension but in looking for some shocks for my car I came up with some interesting information . I have found two listings for ZOK shocks one set are the ones that came with the Club Sport Package cars and just for general info they list at over $1000.00 a set they also list a set ZOK/FE3 that run around $ 400.00 a set these are the ones that came on a GXP I would have to believe that the latter are the ones that came on the Street Edition

Check the first message in this thread, http://www.solsticeforum.com/forum/f42/suspension-packages-usage-58501/, for the part numbers and tag colors for the shocks, springs, and bars for all the Solstice models and variations.

Sting Ya has all the features pretty correctly in his post.

The Street Edition did have a full NA Z0K suspension as verified in the following link:
http://www.solsticeforum.com/forum/f42/suspension-packages-usage-58501/

I haven't been able to verify the number of Street Editions produced, but the number that sticks in my brain is 88, but don't hold me to it if you have a better number available.

As to value, it had a $690 premium over an otherwise comparably equipped standard NA MSRP. So it might be worth a couple hundred over a similar condition, comparably equipped NA today.

All street editions were Brazen (Inferno Orange) with a black "Heritage Edition" stripe.

Bill :I guess the way to find out what these cars came with is for someone who has one to jump in .I believe the confusion with the ZOK package is that GM calls the FE3 which is standard on a GXP also ZOK I know when I started to look for shocks I ran into this .As for my Street Edition info I got this off a brochure that I picked up from the dealer when the cars first came out.

This is the ad that got me wondering: 2009 Pontiac Solstice Street Edition SKU:9Y104307 Convertible

I've seen it advertised for awhile, and remember reading a online article that included production numbers, but haven't been able to locate it again (I'll search again). There is a forum thread regarding production numbers but the exact number was never included.

What I thought that set the Street Edition apart from being another paint and sticker job was that it also included the ZOK hardware.

Thanks. ChopTop, for that link, I ran it through my CompNine Dealer account and was able to determine that there were 138 Street Edition Model Conversions as well as 138 Solstice 2009 convertibles with the Q9Y split spoke wheels.

I think it's safe to say that there were 138 Street Edition Solstices made in 2009.

Thanks again.

Dave
